"Hello nine one-one, what's the nature of your call?"
SANDY
"Yes, oh God...I just shot a Bear and an intruder!"
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Okay mam, just calm down a sec...I have you located at 4320 Carpenter Road in Modesto, right?"
SANDY
"Yea, it's the Hudson Vineyards, this is Sandy Hudson...my motion detector went off and I told them not to come any closer, and they just kept coming...I just told them to just leave, but they didn't listen, I don't know what I did..."
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Okay, let me see if I have this correct, you told the Bear to leave, stay still, what mam?"
SANDY
"No, I don't know where the fucking Bear's came from...it was two people approaching my door...one took a shot at me, there was two of them did I say...I shot one of the guy's and then all these Bear's coming flying out down my driveway, and then I took another shot and accidentally shot one of the Bear's (crying)...it was just a baby!"
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Oh, that's not good, you can't just going around shooting Bear's like that!"
SANDY
"Well, what about the guy I shot?"
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Look mam, it's just an intruder, he entered your property, he's not what's important right now, but killing a Bear, especially a cub...well that's a very major offence in the State of California!"
SANDY
"But...but it was an accident, I didn't mean to do any of this, I Love animals..."
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Well, how many other intruder's and Bear's do you estimate they're were?"
SANDY
"Well I only saw one other intruder who was running off with the Bear's."
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Other Bear's, they were working together, like a gang of Bear's...just how many Bear's do you think you had out there?"
SANDY
"I don't know, it's dark out here, there might have been twenty for all I know, I couldn't tell you...just a dead baby Bear, that's all I know!"
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Okay mam, I've called the Sheriff's Department and Animal Control, just hold tight Miss Hudson, just hold tight, okay...don't touch anything!"
SANDY
"Okay, okay, I'll be alright I think, but what if they come back?"
NINE ONE-ONE OPERATOR
"Miss Hudson, stay calm...chill, help is on the way, okay?"
SANDY
"Thanks...thanks so much, bye!"
