SANDY, CAPTAIN FRANKS, AND ARTHUR SITTING AT BREAKFAST TABLE
SANDY
"Well, like I said, it was just an accident, nothing much else to talk about!"
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"I feel terrible about all this...he is my best friend, boy did I fuck this up!"
ARTHUR
"Well, it wasn't a good thing if that's what you mean?"
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Either way, I've got to get back to Seattle, got some runs to make, are you coming along Arthur?"
ARTHUR
"I don't know with my arm like this, I don't know how much help I could be?"
SANDY
"You can stay Arthur if your really not feeling up to it, but your going to be to yourself, I've got to go fill in for Brian, and I hope to God I know what I'm doing!"
ARTHUR
"Burns are weird, Brian's not coming back anytime soon, like tomorrow or anything, if he's not infected now, being in that hospital...who knows what he might catch?"
SANDY
"I don't have time for your crap, I'm not trying to be mean, but I have things to do, and Franks...I think you need to take your Jesus man and go see the world!"
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Your right Sandy, I'm so sorry for what happened, but thank Brian for all his generosity...he will always be my hero!"
SANDY
"I Love this guy...not always...I had other men in my life before Frank, but there was something about Brian that opened my eyes up...like never before.
ARTHUR
"You know, he is one of a kind...if I was gay, I'd do him, maybe even take him to a musical.
(Long Pause)
SANDY
"Okay....well can you let yourselves out cause I have to stop by the hospital and check-up on my man...then God willing, try to fill his shoes at the Gatortail, this should be fun!"
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Come on Arthur, get your shit together, I'm hittin the road in an hour!"
ARTHUR
"But I have a broken arm, I'm no good for your working?"
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Good enough, plus I know you have money, how much you dragging around?"
ARTHUR
"About three."
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"About three what?"
ARTHUR
"Three hundred..."
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Keep going...SANDY, your not going to believe what this fucker is dragging around with him."
SANDY
"What is it Arthur, not to snoop or anything?"
ARTHUR
"I dunno, 'bout three hundred..."
CAPTAIN FRANKS
"Arthur..."
ARTHUR
"Okay, three-hundred thousand!"
SANDY
"What the fuck, you've got that with you now?"
ARTHUR
"Uh, huh...drugg it all the way from Belize, kinda surprised myself actually."
SANDY
"Well, if all else fails, feel free to get a room...for a week, a month, a year, for the rest of your life for all I care, but you can't stay here, okay?"
ARTHUR
"No problem Sandy, I understand!"
SANDY
"Okay guys, let's wrap this up, I got to get going!"

INT: MODESTO GENERAL HOSPITAL-8 A.M.
SANDY ENTERING HOSPITAL, ASK ABOUT CONDITION OF BRIAN
SANDY TALKING TO HEAD NURSE
SANDY
"Hi, I'm Sandy Hudson, wanted to check on the status of Brian Cashman?"
FRONT DESK NURSE
"We'd kind of like to know that ourselves, he self-checked himself out this morning, complaining about business first or something, if you find him, let us know."
SANDY
"What the hell, you mean you just let him waltz out of here, crap I thought he'd be on that drip for at least a day or two, heaven knows...I would of!"
FLOOR NURSE WALKING UP
FLOOR NURSE
"Hey Miss Sandy, looking for your old man...I dunno, Doc ain't gonna like this when he finds out, looks like your boy just tripped out on being here, just did the arrow thing...guess he figured he could handle this one...look just..."
SANDY
"I don't believe you just let him walk out of here and drive, that's all I'm saying!"
FRONT DESK NURSE
"He didn't drive...Sam the cabbie gave him a lift, apparently to the Gatortail, why don't you try calling him?"
SANDY
"Yea, we'll who would have figured..."
SANDY GETS I-PHONE AND CALLS BRIAN'S NUMBER
BRIAN ANSWER'S
"Hey girl, what's up?"
SANDY
"Well, apparently you, where are you at?"
BRIAN
"Just came into the office, talking with John."
SANDY
"Well, what about your burns, are you okay?"
BRIAN
"Look Sandy, I'll be okay...okay?"
SANDY
"You have second degree burns, you don't have any medication, aren't you hurting?"
BRIAN
"Look, John made me some cincture which is a lot more effective than anything a hospital or pharma company could give me, I'll be fine!"
SANDY
"I still can't believe you just got up and left like that!"
BRIAN
"Look, I have a business to run...a responsibility to me, myself, and I, don't start trying to smother me with all your concerns...I'm very independent when it comes to existence, so let's not confuse a relationship with weakness or burden, I've told you about myself, I'm kinda surprised how you just decided to take it upon yourself to take charge..."
SANDY
"Well, well, well if I didn't care so damn much for you, it would all be different."
BRIAN
"Here's one thing to keep in mind..."
SANDY
"What?
BRIAN
"Everything still works, and I'm sitting in my chair, just playing with my Mac Pro!"
SANDY
"I'll be right over, don't move!"
BRIAN
"That's my girl!"
